FanFiction Master List

Here it is, the master list of all my fic.  Not because I think anyone wants to read it, or because I've written oh-so-much, but mainly because I'm OCD and like having everything in one place.  :D

These are listed in chronological order, everything is NC-17 unless otherwise noted.  :)  Please let me know if I have any broken links.

Have you heard about [info]heroesland yet?  It's a fun game where you join one of four teams (Sylar, Claire, Peter, or Hiro) and then you do fun different challenges and tasks to promote your team for points!  Fun, huh?  I'm, of course, on Team Claire.  ;)

One of the challenges was to make a sig banner.  Here's mine...

Making it earned me 20 points for Team Claire!

Go sign up at [info]heroesland and join Team Claire!!!

Can I get my f-list in Google Reader?

  • Jul. 19th, 2009 at 12:11 AM

Is there a way to turn my f-list into an RSS feed so I can see it in my Google Reader?  I haven't been around much lately, but I really want to be able to get my f-list posts in my Reader so I can "mark read" or save them to read later.  Can I do that?

Also - I love you all so much and I miss you and I can't wait to (very slowly) catch up with you all!!!

At least I can laugh at myself...

I usually don't do this, but you guys have to go check out my new blog post at Life With Liane.  Seriously, I am SO DUMB.  Also, pathetically out of shape.

Things like this get me through the day...

Muggles S'up?
Today at work this guy came in with his kid to see Up and I swear, the kid looked just like little Noah from 3.04.  It was very exciting for me.

Veronica Mars

So, my mom and I started watching the Veronica Mars DVDs at my cousin's house last weekend and we are so hooked!  We stayed up until 1am last night watching (even though we're still only on 1.18).  It's fun to watch a show like that with my mom.  The other day we were in Moe's and she grabbed my arm and hissed "oh my god - that guy over there looks just like Duncan!".  Hee hee hee, I'm turning my mom into a 52 year old fangirl.  :D

I'm pretty sure I ship Veronica/everyone.  At this precise second I'm leaning towards her and Logan.  But yeah, I have roughly 47,283 plot bunnies.  Now, weather or not I can actually get any of those to translate onto paper is a whole 'nother story.  I think VM would be harder to write because she has such a distinct sense of humor and she's always got those great one-liners.

At any rate, Veronica Mars = WIN.  (And if anyone spoils me in the comments they shall feel my wrath.)

Hey guess what? I'm awesome.

I actually won something at [info]sylaire_awards!!!  Plus, I got two honorable mentions because the categories didn't have enough nominations - so in my own twisted logic that means I won those too.  ;)  I've been having a weird time lately, and getting that recognition really means a lot to me right now.  Especially because, dude, seriously?  I mean, I would understand if I won awards for "random-all-seems-the-same-fluff-with-bad-sex" fic, but these are for-real awards!!  :D

Congrats to all the other winners on my f-list, especially [info]cameroncrazed who won Best Author!!  (And let's just ignore the fact that she's my beta and most likely the only reason I was even nominated....)

Cut for the pretties.... )

I'm a bad LJ-er....

Life has been crazy lately, and I absolutely HATE it when real life gets in the way of me playing online.  I got a job (finally, right) and went back up to NYC to close up my apartment.  So yeah, I officially no longer live in NYC.  *sadface*

Being at home has been good and bad.  I've had to deal with some hard issues.  You know, it's much easier to live 1,000 miles away and not have to directly deal with family shit, not to mention my own personal issues that my family forces me to deal with.  But I don't really want to get into all of that and be a downer.  In more bad news/good news - the stress of being home made me start smoking again.  But my mom has been really nice and oddly supportive and she lets me smoke as long as it's not in or near the house.  I think she may have been the subject of an alien abduction and had her brain replaced with a nice, caring, and supportive person.  Weird.  I still really want to quit, but given the choice between drinking, going completely insane, destroying my relationships with my family, or smoking - I think I'll take smoking.  Blah.  Okay, enough babble.

I'm finally starting to get back in the swing of things and reading and commenting.  I can't believe I missed perdi's choose your own adventure thread!!  So yeah, that's what's up with me.  As always, you can find my (somewhat falsely happy) personal blog at Life With Liane.  I'm going to start posting a lot more pictures that I've taken over there.  :)

More Help?

Okay, so file this under "Anne being a terrible person".  As I'm sure most of you know, I'm moving to Europe in October and my first stop is Germany.  I really want to learn German before I go, but of course none of the colleges near me are offering German classes over the summer.  I REALLY want to get Rosetta Stone, but I just can't afford it right now.  Sooo..... does anyone know where I might be able to procure a free download of Rosetta Stone?  I would love to have all of the languages, or at least German, Polish and Mandarin Chinese - which are the three that I'll be needing - but for right now I would be more than thrilled to just have German.  Where could I look for something like that?  Oh yeah, and I have no freakin' clue how to work torrents, so if anyone is feeling brave and wants to try to explain that to me, that would be great, because I think I found a torrent of it at Pirate Bay.

Thanks loves!!!!!  xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Tech Help?

Since I'm at my parents' house for the summer I basically have all-access to the best of technology.  Both of my parents are (now retired) computer programmers.  I want a DVD burner on my laptop and an external hard drive.  You would think that, given my parents' expertise I would turn to them, but they tend to make things overly complicated.  If I tell them that I need XYZ for my laptop they're much more inclined to give me the money for it if I have sound technological reasoning for needing it.  So I would  LOVE for you guys to give me some feedback on the best DVD burners and external hard drives.  I "need" both of them and don't feel like dealing with my parents and their extensive research to get them.  Both of my parents have DVD burners on their desktops, but I don't want to have to deal with figuring out how to get the video from my laptop to their desktop to burn it onto DVD if there's an easier way for me to do it.

So, yeah, long story short.....

DVD burner?

External hard drive?

Help?

Ideas?

Suggestions?

Love you all!!!     xoxoxoxo

ETA:

Woo hoo!!  I've still got it, baby!!  All I did was strike up a convo with Daddy about how I'm thinking about getting an external hard drive and whadda ya know?  Daddy's researching the best external hard drives on the market and he's going to buy me the best of the best.  :D  I love my Daddy.  :)

Also, he has a DVD burner on his computer and he's going to get the files I want burned off of my laptop and onto his computer and then burn them for me.  Turns out, there are some perks to being at home.  :)

The DSC has the same sewing machine as my mom.  :D  This makes me irrationally excited.  :p

Day Two

Incase you didn't notice (or I didn't mention it) my food and exercise logs are all from the previous day.  I think it's easier that way because if I try to do it on the same day I'll inevitably go eat something after posting.  :p

FOOD
3 servings Diet Coke
6 glasses of water
1 appetizer order of Chili's Southwest Eggrolls
2 bananas (no chocolate this time ;))
Leftover kebabs
1 Klondike Crunch (thank god we're out of them now)

EXERCISE
None  :(  I had every intention of taking the dogs out for a walk but there was a thunderstorm and so instead I spent about 5 hours sitting on the couch with them glued to either side of me.  :p

It's official... I am F.A.T.

Like, seriously, my fat jeans are too tight.  And I don't mean too tight like "oh my I had to suck in a little to button these".  I mean too tight like they suction my ass in ways an ass should never be suctioned, they act like sausage casings for my thighs, the waistband leaves vicious red welts around my hip-fat, and the button threatens to burst open and hit some innocent bystander.  So why am I wearing them?  Because they're the biggest jeans I have and my brothers and father really hate it when I walk around pants-less.  Plus, we had someone here doing an appraisal on the house.  Now that she's gone, I'll go back to my sweatpants.  Sweatpants never judge.

This is a MAJOR problem.  Since being back at my parents' house I've gained 4.13% of my body weight.  Those of you who watch The Biggest Loser know that that's a HUGE amount.  I need to work out.  I need to eat better.  I know that a big part of this is that I went from drinking only plain water and not eating any processed sugar to my parents' house.  There's always a TON of food here.  Good food.  And by good food, I mean junk food.  Damn those boys and their super-fast metabolisms.  Seriously, to look at my brothers you'd think there was nothing in the house besides lean protein and leafy green vegetables.

I need to keep myself accountable, hence this post.  I'm going to try to post everyday with a food diary and exercise log.  If you don't want to be bothered by it everyday, just let me know and I'll filter the posts.  Trust me, I don't blame you for not wanting to read it.  I don't even want to read it.  :p
